There's a new theme in the W Shop! The New Plush Theme is super cute! Thanks so much to Mom of Shimmer and aibowers for the early notice of the new theme and to Ergoiam for this screen shot from the W Shop.

Don't forget today is the first day that Webkinz Accounts will not expire. If you have a previously expired account it will be open again with a few limited features.
Have you been wondering what the difference would be of "Full Membership" in Webkinz World? The first change we've found is that you cannot trade with other members. The second change is that you cannot KinzPost any items, you may still send letters. These accounts also cannot purchase Party Packs from the W Shop or turn off ads (thanks Cloud One) \|
The new Restaurant Room has arrived a day early. The Party Room had to go to make room for this fun new room. Head on over and check it out.

Tail Towns Coming Soon

Check out the new Facebook Page for "Tail Towns" as well as the new website Tail Towns. Tail Towns is set to launch on March 8, 2011. Alicia Ashby from engagedigital.com says "Tail Towns will feature unmoderated player chat for users over 13, so this line is clearly meant to serve girls who’ve gotten a bit too old for Ganz’s Webkins line but still enjoy tying real-world collectibles to a virtual world experience." New eStore Theme & Items

Thanks to WP Member KinzKrazed for letting us know about a new theme and some exciting new items coming to the eStore. There is a new "Restaurant" room coming to the Clubhouse on January 20, 2011. To go along with this new room the eStore will be selling new Fine Dining Themed Items. You might recognize these white chairs from the clubhouse.

Winterfest Fun on Webkinz Newz

Winterfest began on January 15th and will last until January 23rd! When you hunt snowflakes in Webkinz World, you'll receive a random prize each time you click on a snowflake. This year Webkinz Newz is also hosting a Winterfest Event.
Each day, a different prize will be available. You can win one prize per account, per day. To play look for a "floating" flake on Webkinz Newz and fill out the entry form to receive your prize. Each day starts at 12:00 am EST and runs until 11:59 pm EST.

Aquarius Retriever Contest

Would you like to own the new Aquarious Retriver? Simply create your own winter haiku and you could win an eStore exclusive Aquarius Retriever virtual pet. What's a haiku you might ask? It's a 3 line poem (not rhyming) the first and third line have 5 syllables while the middle line (second) has 7. The poem generally paints a scene for the reader to imagine.

Ms. Birdy Coming to the Clubhouse 12/14/10

It's that time of year again, Ms. Birdy will be in the clubhose from December 14, 2010 until December 24, 2010. Stop in and check out our Ms. Birdy Tracking thread to see where you can find her and what goodies she will be handing out each day. We even have a sneak peek at what we think she will be offering this year.

UPDATE: Ganz has made finding Ms. Birdy MUCH easier. Once she is spotted in a room she stays for a long time so you have a great chance of finding her.

WP Member zingyginger reports "Heard a tinkling noise then Ms Birdy showed up in Gold Exercise Rm 40 at 6:10 am. She's supposedly on different zones every half hour (so next one would be at 6:40 am). She moved around the room for a while (she was still there when I logged off at 6:34 am). You have to be in the room before she enters to see her though; the cute googles named "Catchmeifyoucan" in the above pic who came in late was oblivious to her presence." WP Members Adopt December Pets

Updates to Mazin' Hamsters

Mazin' Hamsters was down for a few hours today and when it came back up there were some big changes in store. There are new games to play in the Hamlet Area. In the Zum Round-Up you search for a Zum, once you find them you keep collecting them until you have enough to party. Once you find them all and complete the party you will win moolah and prizes. In the Matching Pairs game you will be searching for rising sparkles, an object will be revealed, find another sparkle with the same object to "Match them Up". Once you match all of the pairs you will be rewarded with a prize. There are two modes to each game, one is timed and the other is not. The timed levels reward better prizes so be sure to try them out. The Hidden Objects and Find the Flags games have also had new prizes and levels added to them. The Mazin' Mall has some new rooms: Temple Traps, Medieval Gauntlet, Conveyor Belt and Topiarches Hedge Maze Rooms. Check them out for a new challenge.

Wonderland Theme Now Rare?

WP Members purpleteddy and zingyginger found something odd when checking for the 3 pm Rare Item today. The only item "Rare" that Arte was offering was the Queen of Hearts Bed at it's regular price of 3300 KC. Previously, the Wonderland Theme has been a Curio Shop Only item, meaning that they were offered at sale prices, unlimited quantities could be purchased and were offered multiple times during the day. However, at 3 pm Arte was only allowing one purchase of the bed consistent with the Rare Items. We'll have to keep a close eye on the Curio Shop to decide if the theme has indeed changed to a Rare or this was just a glitch.

Wow, an exciting new map of Webkinz World was unveiled today. There's a new way to travel around Webkinz World and a game to go along with it, Unlock the Key to Kinzville. On November 26th Ganz tweeted "Black Friday teaser: on Dec. 8 we're releasing a new version of a favorite game, and making an interface change you won't expect!" We've all been speculating about what this change could be. Soon we'll all find out about this exciting change. Spotted Seal Retirement

Thanks to WP Member jms40 for letting us know the Spotted Seal Retirement event has begun on Asian accounts. The event will begin on European tonight and American at 12 am. Apparently, some users are having trouble losing their turn on the new retirement game so it might be best to hold off a bit on playing it. There are two special activities for Spotted Seal owners:
9am-12pm Time to Play Balloon Dartz and 12 - 4pm Prize Capsule.

Be sure to log in today to spin the Super Wheel and get your Halloween goodie bag. Halloween gifts have not appeared on Asian accounts yet, hopefully they will show up before the time runs out tomorrow at 10 am EST. If you have an Asian account and haven't received your Halloween gifts, call Ganz at 1-866-Webkinz or 1-866-932-5469. Members are reporting that reps are inserting the items directly into the dock.

There's a new Easy set of mazes in Mazin' Hamsters called Looping Laps, navigate through 8 easy mazes to win this new trophy. Congratulations to WP Member SpiritDancer for winning the trophy pictured above. SpiritDancer says "This is certainly an easy set for the Kiddies. Just hold down that shift key and make sure you navigate the rooms well and you will make the time easily.
	Check out the awesome new items that have been added to the Mazin' Mall. There's the Hamster Bar Fridge, Starry Hamster Stove, Starry Hamster Kitchen Chair and a Hamster Rollercycle. Earn some Mazin' Moolah checking out the new set of mazes and head on over to the mall for some shopping.
